SALISBURY City has completed the signing of Torquay United forward Ben Joyce.
The 20-year-old Plymouth-born striker scored four times in City's recent friendly 7-0 win at Hamworthy United.
Joyce was on the books of Aston Villa, Plymouth Argyle and Boston United before joining Swindon Town. He then joined Torquay United (July 2009) and has had loan spells with Forest Green Rovers and Weston-super-Mare.
Mikey Harris, who along with City skipper Darrell Clarke is in temporary charge of first team affairs, said the club is delighted to have secured the services of the young striker.
“Ben has been very impressive since he came to us. He’s sharp and, as we saw at Hamworthy, knows where the net is," said Harris.
“He’s still only 20 but he’s got plenty of experience.”
